Wall art · The print process

From photograph to finished print.

The paper, scale and finish matter as much as the image. Every piece is prepared to order and discussed with you before it goes into production.

The paper

Hahnemühle Photo Rag.

My preferred paper is Hahnemühle Photo Rag: a 308gsm, white, 100% cotton fine-art paper with a smooth matte surface. It gives photographs a refined, tactile finish with strong tonal depth, fine detail and excellent colour graduation.

It is made to archival standards and suits both the quieter tones of monochrome work and the depth of colour in landscape photography. Alternative professional papers and display media can be discussed when the image or room calls for something different.

Made to order

A considered process.

Nothing is sent automatically. The image, crop, size and finish are checked before production begins.

01

Choose

Select a photograph and note its WA reference.

02

Confirm

We agree the size, crop, paper and any framing or mounting.

03

Prepare

I prepare the final print file carefully for the chosen format.

04

Produce

Your print is professionally produced, checked and packed securely.

Borders and framing

Ready for presentation.

Unframed prints are supplied with an approximately 1cm white border to make handling and framing easier. Framing is not included in the standard print price, but framed, mounted, panoramic and bespoke options can be quoted.

Sizes

Made for the image.

Guide prices are available for A3, A2 and A1 prints. The exact printed area can vary slightly with the photograph’s aspect ratio; I will confirm the crop and overall dimensions before production.

Delivery

Protected in transit.

Prints are packed securely in suitable tubes or boxes. Please allow approximately three to five weeks for production and delivery. UK and international delivery can be arranged, with the cost confirmed before you order.

Choose the image first. We can decide the rest together.
