Preserve the photographs that matter.

Old printed photographs carefully digitised, repaired and prepared for sharing—while preserving the character of the original.

A careful service

From the family album to a lasting digital file.

Whether you have one damaged photograph or a small family collection, I’ll assess the originals first and explain what can realistically be achieved.

Digitising

High-resolution copies.

Printed photographs are carefully captured at high resolution and supplied as clean digital files suitable for archiving, sharing and reproduction.

Restoration

Repair without losing character.

Dust, scratches, fading, tears and tonal problems can often be reduced while keeping the result believable and faithful to the original photograph.

Finished copies

Digital files or new prints.

Choose archive-quality digital files, replacement photographic prints, or both. Sizes and finishes are agreed before anything is produced.

Guide pricing

Every photograph is assessed first.

Condition and complexity vary considerably, so these prices are a useful starting point rather than an automatic quotation.

Digitising printed photographs

From £5 each

High-resolution digitising with basic crop, rotation and tonal correction. A minimum order of £35 applies.

Simple restoration

From £45

For light fading, dust, small marks, minor scratches and straightforward tonal repair.

Moderate restoration

From £85

For tears, creases, missing detail, heavier damage or more involved repair work.

Complex work or collections

Quoted

For badly damaged originals, larger family archives, unusual sizes or a combination of digitising, restoration and printing.

Guide prices cover printed photographs. Negatives, slides, albums that cannot safely be dismantled and unusually large originals need to be discussed before work begins. Replacement prints and delivery are priced separately.

How it works

Handled carefully from start to finish.

No restoration begins until you have seen the assessment and approved the quotation.

01

Show me

Send a clear phone photograph of each original and describe what you would like.

02

Assess

I’ll explain what is achievable, what it will cost and how the original should reach me.

03

Digitise & restore

The photograph is captured carefully and any agreed restoration is completed non-destructively on the digital copy.

04

Return & deliver

Your original is returned with the agreed digital files and any replacement prints.

Your original photograph is never altered. Restoration is carried out on a new digital copy. Irreplaceable items are handled carefully, but very fragile originals may require a specialist conservator; I will tell you if I believe that is the safer route.

Start with a photograph of the photograph

Let me see what you would like to preserve.

A clear phone picture is enough for an initial assessment. Please do not post or deliver an irreplaceable original until we have agreed the safest next step.
